Her Story

Kelsey Pacsai

Jeweler

I began crafting jewelry at the ripe age of 12. Hemp was my medium of choice, macrame'd together with funky wooden and glass beads that covered me from ears to ankles.

A true rock hound at heart, my favorite past time is a trip to the shores of Lake Michigan or my family cottage on Lake Huron to hunt for Petosky stones, quartz, agates, beach glass, bones, and fossils. The connection to nature runs deep in my soul. Although I was young when I left, I credit my birthplace of Sitka, AK for sparking that fire. Between bald eagles in the front yard and humpbacks in the Sound, I couldn’t get much closer.

Eventually I tried my hand at the art of wire wrapping and fell into a deep love. This path opened up a whole new world for me and jewels poured from my heart and hands.

In 2016 I found my true passion when I began silversmithing at the Denver School of Metal Arts. Now a student at the Gemological Institute of America, I continue to grow my skills and develop my knowledge in all things jewelry in sunny Southern California.
